Eurocido 2010
The largest pest control exhibition and conference in Europe, Eurocido will be held at the Exhibition Centre, Westfallenhalle, Dortmund, Germany on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February 2010.

Taking place every two years and currently in its 9th year of success, Eurocido attracts a wide range of trade visitors and exhibitors from within the Pest Management Industry and those closely related. This international exhibition has been hugely successful since it began in 1994. Attracting over 60 exhibitors and 2,000 visitors from throughout Europe, the exhibition offers a fantastic opportunity to see some of the newest and most exciting innovations within the industry.

The Westfallenhallen Exhibition Centre is located just 12km from Dortmund airport and 63km from Düsseldorf airport.

Calling all Women in Pest Management
Join PWIPM for their next meeting, a free of charge networking lunch on Friday 12th March at Imperial China, near Leicester Square, London from 12 noon.

As you may already be aware, Professional Women In Pest Management, PWIPM, was launched in January 2009 to help and support women working in the Pest Management Industry. Since the launch of PWIPM there have been several meetings held throughout the UK to spread the word and encourage women to take advantage of the help and advice available to them. The group has grown significantly and now has over 70 members. As well as providing a listening ear and essential support, PWIPM has become a useful networking opportunity and some members are now working together to exchange any work they cannot do.

He Who Dares Wins - Pest Controllers Academy Follow Up
The Pest Controllers Academy was created to help businesses make a difference in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Following the two-day seminar held in September 2009, the Pest Controllers Academy follow up session will be held on Monday 15th March at the Hilton Hotel, East Midlands.

This follow up day allows attendees to review how they have progressed since September, identifying how they have applied what they learnt so far and receive further advice as to how they could further develop their marketing.

The 2010 Pest Controllers Academy will be held on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th September 2010. Venue and further information is to be confirmed.

Pest Ventures - Rising to the Challenge
Taking place on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st April, Pest Ventures includes two days of technical seminars which unite those from across the pest management industry including researchers, manufacturers and practitioners, providing a valuable networking opportunity for all involved.

Held at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Kegworth, the aim of Pest Ventures is to keep attendees up to date with current research and industry best practice. Day one will focus on topics including rodenticide resistance, burrow management and how to ensure you follow industry best practice. Day 2 will consider issues surrounding bedbugs, stored product insects and birds.

Public Health: Embracing Challenge
This two-day conference hosted by the Welsh section of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, CIEH, will focus on the challenges currently facing public health practitioners from both a local and national perspective.

Taking place on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th April at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff, this conference will consider the political imperatives impacting on public health, allowing delegates to raise issues from the floor, giving them the opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns.

This event is targeted at those working within Environmental Health e.g. practitioners, officers, members and specialists, including anyone with an interest in the development of public health in Wales and beyond.

The Facilities Show
Thanks to the success of 2009, Killgerm will once again be attending the Facilities Show on Tuesday 11th till Thursday 13th May at the Birmingham NEC.

Bringing together industry professionals with hundreds of leading companies showcasing their products and services within one arena, the Facilities Show is open for anyone to attend, particularly targeting those involved with the upkeep, management, support and services of an organisation.

This year Killgerm will be showcasing the Lamp Compactor, providing facilities managers with the opportunity to find out more about this unique fluorescent tube crushing facility which is available to them. Live product demonstrations will take place during the show and several representatives will be available on the stand to answer any questions visitors may have about this or any other products from Killgerm.

The British Pig & Poultry Fair 2010
The British Pig & Poultry Fair will be held on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th May at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. Covering all aspects of pig and poultry production, the fair provides a great opportunity for farmers to gain up to date industry knowledge and network with potential processors and retailers.
