Insect Identification
Professional pest control relies on accurate identification of the pest species to select the most appropriate control methods. With the many thousands of insect species in the world, no pest controller can be expected to identify all insects they come across.
Expert identification is available from several museums, government and private laboratories but these services can be expensive and slow. Killgerm endeavours to provide a full insect ID report within 7-10 working days because we know how important it is to your business to receive this information quickly. Samples can be sent to our consultant entomologist at:

Owing to current security concerns please ensure that your name, address and contact telephone number are clearly visible on the envelope when sending insect specimens for identification. This will allow us to contact you in the event of any doubt concerning the package. Please submit specimens in crushproof, non-metallic containers with securely sealed lids. Please ensure the specimen is dead before posting. Failure to carry out these simple precautions may result in a delay before the package is opened and dealt with.
The identification of spiders is not within our area of expertise. Please contact the Natural History Museum for spider identifications.
The service is free of charge to existing Killgerm customers (subject to account status). The service is charged at £50 + VAT to non-customers.
