Technical Officer - Pest Control

This post is temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent and is to cover a secondment.
You will be responsible for organising the work
of Pest Control Technicians, dealing with any difficult jobs/situations
that may arise and assist with stores and stock control. You should
be competent in rodent and insect control, in both domestic and commercial
properties, and the servicing of pest control contracts.
You will hold appropriate pest control qualifications, e.g. RSH Certificate in Pest Control or equivalent, and ideally be able to use a computer.

1 post temporary to cover summer workload with the possibility of becoming permanent
Joining our specialist Pest Control and Drainage team, you will assist with carrying out the Council’s statutory duties in connection with pest control and drainage work, and to generally support other members of the team whilst having regard to the Environmental Services Quality Standards.
You will need a basic knowledge of the biology and habitat of insects/rodents, experience in the safe handling of toxic chemicals and be literate and numerate to be able to complete work sheets and related documentation.
