The AF Tyre-Baiter is a new and innovative product that Killgerm has recently developed for use on farms and landfill sites.
The Tyre-Baiter is designed to encourage communal feeding and increase the uptake of bait by providing a natural feeding area. This environmentally responsible design also protects the bait from larger non-target animals and provides an excellent use for old tyres.

This Autumn Killgerm has introduced a variety of new and
exciting products to help make your job a little easier.
Alphamax Plus and Deltamax are easy to dissolve, cost effective
sachets of insecticide which can be used in a variety of
applications, including treatments of food storage and processing
areas. The sachets enable accurate dosing without the need
to measure product. Each sachet makes 1 litre of product
offering the flexibility to make small quantities of product
and avoid unnecessary waste. Alphamax Plus and Deltamax are packed in boxes of 10 sachets.
The Alphamax Plus and Deltamax sachets also offer environmental
benefits because the presentations eliminate the need for
disposal of contaminated packaging. Once the soluble sachets
have been used the remaining plastic/cardboard packaging
can be considered for recycling. In this way disposal to
landfill can be avoided completely.

Another new product from Killgerm is Earth Care Odour Remover,
a non hazard classified, biodegradable way to remove unwanted
smells and odours. This odour removing bag simply and easily
removes odour caused by dead rats, mice as well as many other
unpleasant odours. The Earth Care Odour Remover is usually
effective within 24 hours saving time and money in unnecessary
call-backs.

Fluoro-Bait will also be available this Autumn. This innovative
food grade monitoring bait is used to effectively check rodent
movement. The orange coloured pellets containing food grade
materials are combined with a fluorescent pigment so that
when these are eaten by the rodent, urine and droppings become
more readily detected using a UV torch.
In situations where rodent movement cannot be readily seen
and harbourages not found, using Fluoro-Bait can reduce the
risk of treatment failure where large scale infestations
are encountered, enabling the pest control technician to
more accurately and effectively place toxic baits.

Adding to the already superb range of exclusive professional
pest control products, Killgerm revealed the new AF Underground
at Pest Tech on the 8th November.
Paul Hoyes, Killgerm’s Business Development Manager
stated ‘The AF Underground bait box brings together
all the excellent features associated with the AF Range,
but offers you a versatility, security and discretion that
no other bait box offers.’
The AF Underground is a metal bait box, which allows the
most natural environment for rodent feeding. The box can
be buried in the ground and the inside can be lined with
soil, creating a natural flooring to encourage use. Use of
this box is further encouraged through the ability to use
up to four entrance/exit points. Therefore, offering additional
entrance and escape routes for nervous rodents.
The lid, as the only visible part of the box has the appearance
of a drain cover and is secured with a security screw so
as to make this box discreet and tamper-resistant. The lid
is also spring loaded making it easy to service, once the
security screw is released.
The AF Underground is extremely strong and resilient, as
being made of zintec coated steel it offers further protection
against interference and environmental pressures. With specially
designed drainage holes and bait bars it also provides the
best method of keeping bait fresh in this environment.
Unlike other bait boxes the AF Underground offers a high
level of versatility as it can be cemented into place where
the installation is intended to be permanent, or can be secured
temporarily with ground anchors. The versatility also extends
to the length of the entrance tunnels, which can be adjusted
to suit your needs. This would therefore allow you to bury
the box in an easy to service position, whilst the entrance
points to the box could be in the area where the rodent activity
is most prevalent, making your life easier.

An innovative trapping system for mosquitoes & blood
sucking flies
Killgerm Chemicals is the authorised distributor of the BG-Sentinel. This
innovative trapping system was initially developed to enable researchers
to monitor Yellow fever mosquito Aedes aegypti and the Tiger mosquito Aedes
albopictus and is now used successfully by pest controllers throughout
the world.
All species of mosquitoes and blood-sucking insects can
be controlled including: Aedes aegypti, Aedes albopictus
and Culex species. However, with the addition of CO2 the
unit will successfully control a wider range of blood-sucking
insects including black flies (Simuliidae), stable flies
and fruit flies.
The unit is safe to handle as it doesn’t use chemicals
and is powered by an electrical power supply of 12 volts.
It is collapsible making it easy to transport, carry and
store and can be used in-doors, without CO2, as well as outdoors
according to insect problems.
A larger bag can be added as an upgrade for pests such as
houseflies or for mass trapping operations. In contrast to
many other traps the unit does not catch beneficial insects
such as honeybees and butterflies.

From 8/24 to modern day - solving an age old problem
The Exodus ULV System was successfully launched at
PestTech on Wednesday 2nd November.
This revolutionary ultra low volume
system utilises a unique programmable timer, which has been
designed for ease of use by PCO’s. Paul Hoyes, Killgerm Business & Product
Development Manager says “The Exodus has been specifically
designed with PCO’s in mind. We wanted to design a
high quality product that is an effective, efficient and
flexible tool for PCO’s.”
One of the key benefits
of the Exodus is its unique timer, which can be set during
the day to operate at night without an operator being present.
This therefore allows the PCO a great deal of flexibility
and the ability to offer a more cost effective treatment
without the need for ‘out
of hours’ working. The Exodus timer is extremely accurate,
achieving precise dosing rates, which can be set to treat
the area for between 2 seconds to 29 minutes at a time. Furthermore,
with the use of the Exodus timer there is no need to wear
full protective equipment, enabling the controller to operate
the system easily, safely and comfortably without alarming
the client through using full protective equipment.
This Exodus ULV system is highly versatile and can be used
against a wide range of insects and micro-organisms in a
variety of situations, whilst bottles of ULV products can
be interchanged creating a flexible system with the minimum
wastage of chemicals.
The Exodus ULV System will be available in 2006; to receive
further information please contact Killgerm on 01924
268420 or email sales@killgerm.com.
