A two-day course bringing together two of the industry’s leading experts
to lecture on the complex, yet fascinating subject of drainage investigation.
On day one, Dominic Blyth will take a detailed look at the construction and
workings of Victorian, traditional and modern drainage systems. He will explain
how and why drainage systems become defective, how to identify those defects
and what can be done to remedy the situation. Diagrams, models, samples of
materials and equipment, detailed descriptions and genuine anecdotes are used
to explain ‘real life’ drainage problems.
On day two, Mike Stigwood will take an in-depth look at drainage law. He will
discuss the powers and provisions available, the problems with those powers,
crucial legal definitions, relevant case law and the use of Notices. Group
